CERTIFIED YOGA TEACHER

 

 

I first began studying the practice of yoga eight years ago with a great teacher, Swami Muktidharma, in Golden Bay New Zealand. In a world-wind of traveling adventures I was inspired to learn new ways of living and being in this world.

Yoga became an integral part of that exploration and in 2003 I attended Bihar Yoga Bharati, one of the first ever yoga universities in India. I lived in an ashram and immersed myself in the studies of eastern psychology, philosophy, and yogic science.

After an intense and life-changing seven months in India, I returned home to re-connect with the mountains and digest a life-time of valuable knowledge. I then went on to received my 250 hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification from MokSana Yoga Teachers Training program in 2004 and my most recent journey in 2007 took me to Chiang Mai Thailand, where I completed my Advanced Teachers Training certification, drawing new insights from the Anusara style of yoga and Buddhist Insight meditation.

Yoga has brought an incredible amount of wisdom, compassion, light and freedom to my life and being able to share my experience has been a true blessing. My teaching offers an adaptive and integrated approach that is creative, gentle and focused on the experience of yoga, enhancing vitality and mindfulness for everyday living.

The objective of a class is to introduce the basic fundamentals of a yoga practice into your daily life (drawn from Ashtanga & Iyengar)
